Week 1, June 15-21

I am pleased to commence my first blog post. My position will begin by creating metadata for documents that are part of the JAG (The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School) School's Military Legal Resources which are housed in the Law Library of Congress' online digitized collection.

My first week began with a meeting with my predecessor, Anna Gibson. She gave me a tour of the website and samples of her spreadsheets which she used for her project. This proved to be invaluable for me, and I hope to pay it forward to a future intern if given the opportunity. The rest of the week I was on bedrest from a fractured toe, and I decided to give myself a break as I had just come off a strenuous quarter
